Des Plaines Oasis along Interstate 90 officially closed.

The Des Plaines Oasis along the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway closed March 15th. The Oasis is going to be destroyed to make more lanes for the highway, hopefully alleviating traffic congestion.

In one of the pictures, the man featured: Jerry Roberts looks at one of the maps that line the back wall of the Des Plaines Oasis. “I am one of the ones who is really going to miss this place. I just can’t understand why they can’t rebuild it after the construction is done.”
